The Morlaix Viaduct, the must-see

With its 14 arches, its length of 292 metres, its height of 62 metres and its location in the heart of the city, this railway viaduct is impressive! It carries the railway across the Morlaix river, and its upper level serves the station on the Paris-Montparnasse to Brest line.

👀 On the lower level of the viaduct, the “Guichen promenade”, open during the day, offers a fine view of the marina and the historic heart of Morlaix. You can reach it via the Venelle de la Roche and the Venelle aux Prêtres.

*Venelles: in Morlaix, these are narrow lanes, often with steps.

The lock-bridges on the Nantes-Brest Canal, the miniatures

To let boats pass along the Nantes-Brest Canal, 236 locks were needed. The one at Coat Natous in Mellionnec is special: it is a double lock, with two consecutive locks sharing a common gate, built because of the considerable drop at this spot.

For pedestrians, it is also a chance to cross from one bank of the canal to the other!

The footbridge at La Gacilly, the flowery one

In the heart of the Aff valley, La Gacilly is a small medieval town in Morbihan best discovered with your eyes up and your feet on the cobblestones. Birthplace of Yves Rocher, this village of nature, art, beauty and well-being is famous for its open-air photo festival and its craft workshops.

The footbridge over the Aff is an emblematic spot in La Gacilly!

ℹ️ On the Redon - Peillac stage, a connecting path takes you from La Vélodyssée to La Gacilly.
