Two friends on a day-long electric bike tour

With friends

One gorgeous, sunny summer day, Marlène and a friend decided to explore La Vélodyssée on an electric bike tour between Pornic and Les Moutiers-en-Retz.

After renting electric-assist bicycles in Pornic from the shop Vélo Sea, Bike and Sun, they were off on a 30-km return trip, taking their time to stop along the way to take photos and videos.

Nantes With Love

A 30-km e-bike adventure on La Vélodyssée

It was my very first time taking an electric-assist bike and I had no idea what to expect. It took me maybe a minute and a half to fall totally in love. Once I got over the little surprise of when the electric assist kicks in while on flat ground, it was nothing but joy.

Nantes With Love

Peaceful and pleasant

Even when the paths aren’t tarmacked, they’re very stable and so it’s very comfortable to ride a bike over them. Only very rarely did we have to ride on the road. That offers peace of mind, which is greatly appreciated when you’re riding just to take some time and enjoy!
