TER + BIKE service in New Aquitaine this summer

This summer, more serenely trips

To welcome you, the SNCF in Nouvelle-Aquitaine has introduced the VéloZEN service from 3 June to the end of September 2023, which allows you to travel with your bike on certain trains on the following lines:

  • La Rochelle <> Bordeaux: line 15; service scheduled every day from 8 July to 27 August
  • Libourne <> Bordeaux<> Arcachon: line 41+; service also provided at weekends from 3 June to 17 September and every day from 8 July to 27 August
  • Bordeaux <> Le Verdon: route 42; service also provided at weekends and public holidays from 3 June to 17 September
  • Bordeaux <> Hendaye: route 51; service also provided on weekends and public holidays from 3 June to 17 September and every day from 8 July to 27 August

Passengers travelling to these 4 destinations will be able to take advantage of a service on board certain TER trains to accommodate their bicycles.

But how does it work?

Before boarding, cyclists will entrust their bikes to an agent who will take them to the TER's dedicated bike zone.

Each train equipped in this way can accommodate up to 25 additional bicycles; the bicycle zones are identified by stickers affixed to the carriage.

✔️ This service costs €5, and booking is compulsory on the TER Nouvelle-Aquitaine website.

🏷️ Bicycles must be labelled to identify the passenger and their bicycle

❌ Tandems, recumbent bicycles and trailers are not permitted on board.
