Notre-Dame-de-Monts
In forest

Leaving from Notre-Dame-de-Monts, this cycle loop winds its way through the Breton-Vendée marshlands. Pedal between land and sea to discover the fauna and flora of the marshes. The forest landscapes, made up of holm oaks and maritime pines, give way to salt marsh and soft marsh landscapes, typical of the north-west of the Vendée. For an original view, head for the top of Kulmino. Your turns of the wheel then take you to Fromentine and its famous fisheries, offering panoramic views of the island of Noirmoutier and the Baie de Bourgneuf. Other highlights include the historic lock at Le Porteau and the Chinese port of Pont Neuf, with its 99 pontoons.

Loop route

This loop starts at Le Daviaud, in the Marais Breton-Vendéen at La Barre-de-Monts. It is both a dedicated route (safe for bikes in the Pays de Monts forest) and a shared route (in the marsh). The route is dotted with picnic areas and cycle service areas, with signposts, a filling station and toilets.

Another starting point is in front of the Biotopia site in Notre-Dame-de-Monts.
