Double exhibition on the 2 sites of the Musée National de la Marine in Rochefort
At the Hôtel de Cheusses/Arsenal, a photographic exhibition set up outside in the museum courtyard honours Julien Viaud (Pierre Loti) as a naval officer and witness to the technical transformations of the naval forces in the 19th century.

The Ancienne école de médecine navale pays tribute to Julien's older brother,
Gustave Viaud. His training as a naval surgeon at the Rochefort naval medical school and his career are presented in the exhibition space
on the ground floor.
